The Council of Culture creates a virtual museum to publicize the Murals of San Isidro

The website that allows to know the history and all the details of the works that decorate this neighborhood of Orihuela

A web page made by the Council of Culture of the City of Orihuela will allow to gather all the past and present information regarding the Murals of the San Isidro neighborhood, a sample of outdoor art that has more than 40 years of history and that It gathers 211 works that have been painted in the different editions of this particular meeting of artists.

With this initiative, a national and international significance is given to the first Open Air Museum dedicated to the figure and work of Miguel Hernández, the personality with the most international significance and recognition born in Orihuela.

The documentary heart of the virtual museum is located in the “collection” area, where you can find out all the information about each one of the murals, among which the authors stand out, the year of completion, the street where they are located and information additional that allows to know all the details of the different works.

In addition, the website has a section dedicated to the “Museum”, which collects relevant historical information regarding the different editions and the circumstances in which the murals were made. In this way, virtual visitors from all over the world will have the documentation related to the museum and each of the pieces that compose it.
