Federico F. Mendoza is a versatile Spanish/Australian artist who in 2013 travelled to San Isidro district to pay his particular tribute to Miguel Hernández through a painting on the town’s facades. It is a vividly colourful mural, inspired by the poem The Sun, the Rose and the Child. One of its verses is incorporated below the picture. A young man frees a dove of peace in the garden, under a radiant sun.
The sun, the rose and the child
one-day flowers were born.
The suns, flowers, children, of each day
are born anew.
