Sculptor/painter Fabiola Andreu designed this mural in 2013 dedicated to Miguel Hernández. On the front of a house, in blue hues and under the shade of a tree, the poet sits reading the verses of his dreaminess. Behind him, the silhouette of Orihuela cropped into the sky.

Un ciprés: a él junto, leo.
(El sol se va acortando poco
a poco su fulgor loco.
Preludia un ave un gorgeo).

Me acuesto en la hierba. Leo.
(Es el poniente de hoguera:
contra él una palmera
tiene un débil cabeceo).

Echo el ojo al hato. Leo.
(Da el sol un golpe mayúsculo
a una montaña… Crepúsculo.
Se oye de un agua el chorreo).

Me pongo sentado. Leo.
(La muriente luz se enjambia
fingiendo una gran Alhambra
de mármol cristaloideo).

(Trunca el ave su gorgeo.
Por el oriente descuella
la noche. ¿Nace una estrella?)
No quedan luces… No leo.
