This mural recreates the landscape of Orihuela’s orchard, beloved by Miguel Hernández. The poet was in love with nature and held special affection for Orihuela’s Mountains (which serve as a background in the picture); palm trees, portrayed here with particular majesty and slenderness; and the orchards of orange and lemon trees. Of the four authors of this work, we can highlight due to their career in the world of painting Federico Chico and Charo Ortiz, two artists from Orihuela with long experience and who have left their mark on this orchard image.
