On May 17, 18 and 19, the 10th edition of the San Isidro Murals took place. 11 new murals by local artists and they have carried out their works during three days full of events.
The traditional parades of marching bands, dramatized visits, sports competitions, poetry recitals, educational workshops and concerts have filled the neighborhood with joy from early Friday afternoon until well into the early hours of the morning.
The performance of the groups Trompas de Elefante, DJ Sergio Salinas, Ada Moon, Glaziar and O’FUNK’ILLO in the Plaza de la Ermita on Friday and Saturday nights. That same Friday afternoon, the opening ceremony began in the Plaza de San Isidro with the assistance of the Councilor for Culture, Gonzalo Montoya, next to the Murals Platform, with its president Ana Lizón in front.
The San Isidro neighborhood hosts 20 new facades carried out by a large group of painters and groups in tribute to Miguel Hernández.
During the weekend, different activities took place, poetry recitals, musical parades, children’s workshops, painting, music, theater and children’s workshops.
On Sunday the 19th, the closing took place with the XXVI edition of Mercadearte, which had stalls that filled the Plaza de la Ermita. The culmination was “Aire Puro”, which filled the San Isidro neighborhood with energy, from the emblematic Gernica.
